In 2015 we invested in new telecommunications infrastructure, bringing High-Speed Internet to The Bartonfields Centre. The new service utilises microwave technology delivered by the Derbyshire based business W3Z.
The installed link is capable of delivering high speed internet connectivity of up to 20Mbps download and 1Mbps upload. The service is extremely low contention, unlike commercial services. Normally, with landline-based business ADSL, you have to share your bandwidth with at least 20 other users, (domestic users usually with about 50 others) meaning that if everyone is online at once, speeds plummet. The cost of W3Z service will be comparable with other business broadband suppliers PLUS an additional access fee of £18.99 (+VAT) per month. This is roughly equivalent to one BT business landline rental. Subject to terms and conditions – ask for details.
